What to Expect at Your Elective Ultrasound Appointment
Sweet Baby Face offers Elective Ultrasound Appointment for parents who want to get a sneak peek of their baby before he or she is born. We have elective ultrasound appointments at our locations in Louisville KY and Elizabethtown, and our trained professionals provide a safe and comfortable environment for you to bond with your baby. Here’s what you can expect at your appointment:
When you arrive for your appointment, you will be greeted by one of our friendly staff members who will ask you to fill out some paperwork. We will ask you to fill out some paperwork so we can get to know you and your family. After checking in at the front desk, you will be escorted back to the ultrasound room where you will be asked to lie down on the exam table. A clear gel will be applied to your abdomen and the ultrasound technician will use a handheld transducer to get a clear view of your baby. We recommend that you schedule your ultrasound for around 30 weeks into your pregnancy, but earlier or later appointments can also be arranged. You will be able to see your baby on the big screen and we will even print out some pictures for you to take home. During your ultrasound appointment, you can expect to see your baby’s face, hands, and feet. You may also be able to hear your baby’s heartbeat, and we will be happy to record it for you. Finally, we will answer any questions you may have about the ultrasound process or what you can expect after your baby is born. We understand that this may be a nerve-wracking time for you and your partner, but rest assured that our staff is here to answer any questions or concerns you may have throughout the process.
